Letter From the Governing Board

Dear Little Blessings Families,

We write to you with love, prayer, and a heavy but hopeful heart to share an important update

regarding Little Blessings Childcare Center.

After significant prayer, reflection, and discernment, the Governing Board of Riverside has made

the decision to close Little Blessings Childcare Center at the conclusion of this season. This

decision was not made quickly or lightly. It comes after a thoughtful process rooted in our

values, our responsibilities, and our commitment to care well for the people entrusted to us.

As a church, Riverside is committed to cultivating a culture of Sabbath, rest, being spiritually

whole, and a church that places the people over the job or ministry. Over time, it has become

clear that continuing the operation of Little Blessings is no longer sustainable in a way that

honors these values, particularly for our director and staff, whose dedication and love for your

children has been evident and deeply appreciated. We believe that caring for children also

requires caring well for those who serve them.

Throughout this process, the Governing Board has taken intentional time to pray, listen, and

seek God’s wisdom, asking not only what is possible, but what is faithful. This decision reflects

our desire to act with integrity, compassion, and trust in God’s leading, even when the path

forward is difficult.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to you for entrusting your children to Little Blessings

and allowing us to be part of their early formation. It has been a joy and an honor to walk

alongside your families, and we do not take that trust lightly.

shared with you directly. Please know that we are committed to communicating clearly and to

walking with you through this change with care and respect.
